Four Healthy Meal Delivery Services you NEED to try
HelloFresh - The Grocery Shop!
Hello Fresh is the perfect grocery shop answer. You choose your preference of boxes between the family box, veggie or classic. The box of your choice is full of organic meats (unless you pick veggie), fresh vegetables and delicious snacks with step by step recipes of different and exciting dishes that you can create with the ingredients.
I chose the classic box for myself and my partner Josh. The ‘how to eat’ guide was extremely simple to follow even for those who haven’t quite mastered cooking yet – helping you turn your bland evening meals into much more exciting choices..
“Not only was it great food, I felt like my cooking skills had improved too with their easy step by step guide” – Josh Bryant
We had options of pork loin, chicken and even tiger prawns in our delivery box and organic fresh vegetables that were just as impressive with sweet potatoes, big bags of curly kale and carrots and tomatoes. (See what recipes we created on Josh’s blog here)
The delivery arrived on Monday morning in a large cardboard box with their personalised logo on. The box had ice packs in to protect the meat and fish products and brown paper bags filled to the brim with organic cans of beans, lentils and vegetables.
The box provides roughly a weeks worth of shopping and can be reordered every week for convenience. The ingredients provide enough produce to cook all of the meals however if you are more creative and like to trial and error you have the luxury of being able to create your own meals with the vast variety of ingredients.

Eat First - 'The restaurant in your house' service
How many times have you been too tired to attend that dinner date or have made the effort to go and spend the entire evening wishing you were cuddled up in the comfort of your own home? Well, now both can be an option.
EatFirst delivers freshly prepared lunches, dinners and even bottles of wine to your door. You pick the time and EatFirst will make sure you don’t go hungry. With their dinner menu offering options including, Sesame Chicken Yakitori, Loch Duart Salmon Teriyaki and even comfort food favourites, Shepherds Pie.
My partner Josh and I tried their superfood salads at lunch time. I opted for the Broccoli, Avocado and Goji Salad (£5.95) which was delicious. The goji berries added a subtle sweet blend to the omega rich salad which contained organic quinoa, kale, lemon, pumpkin, edamame, mint and lentils and was topped with broccoli, kale, romaine, avocado, pumpkin seeds and goji berries. The healthy salad came to under 500 calories without the dressing or 556 with.
As if this wasn’t healthy enough we packed away even more essential vitamins and minerals thanks to the smoothies we partnered with our meals. I chose the Green It On smoothie (£2.95) which was a healthy and zingy blend of kale, avocado, ginger, spinach, cucumber, and pineapple. Josh opted for the cooling Island Tonic (£2.95) a freshly blended concoction of coconuts, strawberries, bananas, and apples with another protein boost from the added seeds.
SixPax - The prep service of choice for competitors...
Six Pax are the delivery service of choice for competitors. Their food prep service takes away all of the hassle of competition prep as they work out your calorie and macronutrient goals and create food based around this for you.
As I was doing a ‘cut’ (slimming down and losing body fat’, I opted for the 1200 calorie option. Within this you are given three meals and one snack for the day and the macronutrients (proteins, fats and carbohydrates) are great too! With each day working out at around 40% Protein, 35% Carbs, 25% Fat – I couldn’t have made it fit into my macros better.
I suffer with allergies to wheat, gluten and nuts and didn’t really think it would be possible for all of my allergies to be catered too. However, Sixpax proved me wrong. All of their options were tailored to me and my allergies and I was even given a delicious breakfast berry pot with gluten free oats that tasted like dessert.
Bikini Girls Diary, Deni is also a big fan of six pax and has been using their services day in and day out for the past ten weeks whilst prepping for her bikini fitness show and raves about them on Metro weekly saying she couldn’t have done it without them.
The meals were just as delicious. Although – my housemate did question the packaging saying that it looked as though it was space food. But, as soon I recommended she tried it she agreed it was amazing.
My dishes ranged from spiced tofu to a sweet potato and black bean cake (definitely my favourite) and marinaded vegetables. The meals were so diverse and impressive that it made me wonder what I’d ever done before? No more vegan salads please.
